It’s hard to believe a year has passed since craftLAB first opened its doors in May of 2011 for Somerville Open Studios. Unfortunately we have to announce that this May we will be closing our doors.  We have enjoyed being part of the Somerville community but we have some exciting future plans and will be taking the business online and will be looking to relocate to Portland Oregon sometime in the Spring of 2013.

craftLAB is a experimental craft studio where new product designs(jewelry, accessories, homegoods) are created in store. Most of craftLAB’s products are made from found materials/objects and/or recycled upcycled materials.

craftLAB’s mission is to bring back the designer/customer relationship that is missing in many big box retailers and mass produced products. Most of craftLABS products are designed in store and/or from local artists.

craftLAB encourages customers to interact first hand with the creation of the product and holds weekly/monthy workshops where new product designs are generated.
